Hormone therapy has long been one of the most misunderstood topics in women’s health. But according to experts at the Flow Space Women’s Health Summit, the right timing can make all the difference—not only in easing menopause symptoms, but in supporting long-term health and longevity.
Moderated by Flow Space editor-in-chief Galina Espinoza, the panel featured Dr. Jila Senemar, a board-certified OB-GYN and founder of Jila MD, and Dr. Jaclyn Tolentino, a functional and integrative medicine physician and breast cancer survivor. Together, they broke down the latest science on when to start hormone therapy and why getting that window right could add healthy years to your life.

There’s no question that caregiving is hard work. Much has been said about the time and energy it takes to run a household—often on top of managing one’s own career and health—and the fact that that load is overwhelmingly shouldered by women. (While data from the Pew Research Center shows that men are increasingly sharing the responsibilities, women still pick up a heavier load in terms of caregiving and household duties in marriages where both male and female spouses earn the same income.) But one overlooked piece of this equation is the mental health toll this can take on caregivers.
Keeping track of all those appointments and expenses adds an additional mental burden to the person keeping tabs, which is often a woman. What’s the best way to ease this? Two experts convened to answer this question at the Flow Space Women’s Health Summit in Los Angeles last Thursday.

But there are many misconceptions that persist about these metabolic marvels. At the Flow Space Women’s Health Summit on October 14 in Los Angeles, three expert doctors convened for a panel to bust myths and talk about what role GLP-1s play in the emerging science about metabolic health.

Historically, women’s health has been underinvested in, which has created major gaps in fields like menopause care and reproductive health. But in recent years, many companies have entered the field to help close longtime gaps in innovation and access—and to take part in what the World Economic Forum called “a $1 trillion opportunity.”
But where is innovation in women’s healthcare headed next? During the Flow Space Women’s Health Summit on October 14 in Los Angeles, three leaders in the women’s health space gathered to weigh in. The answer? An increased focus on personalization with AI as a through-line.
