Sarah Magid, VP of Network Operations, Jiji Ugboma, Sr. Manager of Partner Engagement and Ziad Rasheed, Sr. Manager, Publisher Partnerships receive GCPP DEI Driver Award for SHE Media’s Meaningful Marketplace platform.

We are pleased to announce that SHE Media was awarded the 2022 DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Driver Award at this year’s Google Certified Publishing Partner (GCPP) Summit in Chicago. SHE Media was recognized for demonstrating industry leading, continuous efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our company and among our women-owned and minority-owned publishers through our Meaningful Marketplaces platform. This is the second year in a row that SHE Media has brought home this prestigious honor.

SHE Media is comprised of a diverse community of publishers developing content that inspires, challenges, and enriches our culture. We strive to amplify passionate, purposeful voices while providing greater growth and profit for independent publishers. Since 2005, SHE Media has collaborated with underrepresented communities to grow their businesses with a long-standing commitment to diversity and equity among our community members and publishers.

In 2021, we launched SHE Media’s Meaningful Marketplaces (MMP) platform which provides an intentional path to drive advertising dollars to content creators within our Women-owned, Black-owned, Latinx-owned, AAPI-owned, and LGBTQIA+-owned publishing communities, empowering advertisers to meet their commitments to Accountable Advertising and increase their investment in minority-owned media.

Sarah Magid, VP of Network Operations and Jiji Ugboma, Assoc. Director of Publisher Engagement present SHE Media’s Meaningful Marketplaces platform at GCPP Summit.

SHE Media’s MMP platform has excelled in its mission to drive advertising dollars to historically underrepresented publishers and minority-owned media companies. While SHE Media has always prioritized diversity and inclusion among its staff, partners and throughout the execution of its mission, this year’s award recognizes SHE Media for its continued success in leading DEI initiatives among its peers, and we’re pleased to be recognized by an industry leader as being a DEI role model.

Since its launch, we’ve established new partnerships and innovative initiatives to support and scale the MMP platform including a partnership with the Group Black Network, the launch of PULSE, a new content amplification unit, and the development of the Meaningful Marketplace at LA3C, a marketplace of local, women-owned and minority-owned small businesses at Penske Media Corporation’s new music, food and art festival celebrating the culture of LA to be held on December 10-11, 2022. A shoppable digital marketplace will complement the LA3C marketplace, offering consumers nationwide the ability to shop with purpose.

We are dedicated to our mission to change the advertising industry and provide more opportunities for traditionally underrepresented groups in the digital landscape. We are humbled by this award and are relentless in our continued efforts to do more.
