SHE Media Achieves Peak Reach of 89 Million Unique Visitors Per Month in Nov. 2017 Following a 65% Increase in 2 Months
NEW YORK, NY – December 20, 2017 – SHE Media, formerly SheKnows Media, is a mission-driven digital media company created for and by women with approximately 60 million unique visitors per month (comScore) and 350 million-plus social media fans and followers, today announced that its reach is the highest it’s ever been at 89 million unique visitors per month following a 65 percent increase between September and November 2017, according to comScore.
SHE Media now ranks among the top four in comScore’s Female Audience in Lifestyles Category, jumping ahead of contenders that include Meredith, Hearst, TIME Inc., Bustle, POPSUGAR and Refinery29. comScore also reveals that 24.6 million millennial women ages 18 to 34 visit SHE Media’s sites each month, significantly outpacing that of Bustle (16 million), POPSUGAR (7.7 million), and Refinery29 (8.5 million).
In addition to ongoing efforts to deliver purpose-driven content that builds community, celebrates authentic female voices and stays true to its mission of women inspiring women, SHE Media’s growth can be attributed to its major investment in advertising technology, which serves premium targeted audience at scale for programmatic and private marketplace brand partners. Programmatic sales became the main source of the Company’s revenue for the first time in the fourth quarter of 2017, representing a three-fold increase over programmatic revenue generated in the same quarter last year.
SHE Media also attributes its growth to a keen focus on women’s health and wellness. In late September 2017, the Company announced that its highly anticipated 2018 #BlogHer event series – a key competitive differentiator – would kick off with a conference for approximately 500 top health and wellness female content creators, social media influencers, experts and advocates.
The 2018 #BlogHer event series builds upon the brand’s 14 years of leadership in conferences and live events. With an attendee base of over 5,000 content creators, #BlogHer has a scalable model to host quarterly events for top influencers and experts, focused on vertical areas of interest. With #BlogHer18 Health as the kick off to the 2018 event series and #BlogHer Food and #BlogHer Beauty conferences in the works, along with the annual #BlogHer Experts event, SHE Media is the clear leader in influencer events for content publishers.

SHE Media’s advantage in the health and wellness space is reflected in the numbers: According to comScore, the Company’s 89 million unique visitors per month far exceeds that of health endemic sites like WebMD (75 million), Healthline (47 million), Everyday Health (44 million), and LIVESTRONG (27 million).
A look at new health content published each month on SHE Media sites shows a 49 percent YTD growth in users, and a 25 percent YTD increase in pageviews since January 2017.
In early 2018, SHE Media will integrate the HelloFlo website and its popular “Learn From Her” platform into SheKnows.com. There, the HelloFlo brand will continue to live as the site’s main health content hub, addressing topics that range from reproductive and sexual health; to healthy lifestyle tips and techniques; to understanding and destigmatizing mental illness; to maternal health; to body positivity; to the latest medical breakthroughs and more.
